Nepal Share market, NEPSE saw another small drop on Monday. The NEPSE index went down by 4.28 points, bringing the benchmark index to 2,645.
This fall came right after the previous trading day, when NEPSE had already dropped by 26 points. Along with the index, the total trading amount also went down. The market had recorded trading worth 7.08 billion rupees earlier, but today it shrank to 4.71 billion rupees.

A total of 124 companies saw their share prices rise, while 126 companies fell. Prices of 8 companies stayed unchanged. On this day, all sector indices moved less than 1%. Banking fell by 0.68%, Hotels and Tourism by 0.04%, Investment by 0.73%, Life Insurance by 0.51%, Others by 0.18% and Trading by 0.10%.
Meanwhile, Microfinance rose by 0.61%, Manufacturing and Processing by 0.30%, Hydropower by 0.22%, Finance by 0.91% and Development Banks by 0.26%.
Four companies gained the maximum 10%: Sagar Distillery, Swastik Laghubitta, Jhapa Energy and Srinagar Agritech.
Other major gainers included Green Ventures, which rose 9.31%, Narayani Development Bank by 6.66%, Manakamana Engineering by 5.44% and United Modi Hydropower by 4.40%.
The biggest loser of the day was Bottlers Nepal Balaju, falling 3.94%. NRN Infrastructure slipped by 3% and Surya Jyoti Life Insurance dropped by 2.22%.
The five companies with the highest trading volumes today were United Modi Hydropower, Himalayan Reinsurance, Bandipur Cable Car, Nepal Reinsurance and NRN Infrastructure.
