Nepal now has more than 400 companies that supply workers, according to the latest data from the Department of Labor and Occupational Safety. In the fiscal year 2081/82, a total of 437 companies were registered to provide worker supply services. This includes companies that renewed their licenses, newly registered that year, and those registered in 2082/83. Most of these companies focus on providing security services.

The government has warned that companies not registered with the department are not allowed to provide worker supply services. It has also instructed people not to hire workers from unregistered companies. With stricter registration rules, the number of registered worker supply companies is growing steadily.

The department reports that registered companies provide various services, including security, domestic helpers, business support, and general labor supply. Companies that operate without registration, or those hiring workers from unregistered companies, now face fines from the department.
