Bikash Hydropower Limited has officially been listed on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE). The listing agreement between NEPSE and the company was completed on Bhadra 3, 2082. With this, the company’s shares will begin trading in the secondary market from Wednesday under the trading symbol BHCL.

According to NEPSE, a total of 9,091,013 ordinary shares of Bikash Hydropower have been listed. Each share carries a face value of Rs. 100. Out of this, 4,454,596 shares were distributed to the general public, including Nepali citizens working abroad, mutual funds, and employees. The remaining 4,636,417 shares are held by the company’s promoters.

The company had opened its Initial Public Offering (IPO) to the public from Ashar 18 to Ashar 22, 2082, through its issue manager Prabhu Capital Limited. The IPO was oversubscribed by a large margin, reflecting strong investor interest in the hydropower sector.

For the first trading day, NEPSE has set the opening price range of Bikash Hydropower shares between Rs. 97.43 and Rs. 292.29 per share. This range is determined based on the company’s financial reports and net worth. Investors will now be able to trade BHCL shares within this range in the secondary market.

The listing of Bikash Hydropower is expected to add more investment opportunities in the growing hydropower sector of Nepal. Hydropower companies have been one of the most preferred categories for investors due to long-term growth potential, though short-term market volatility may affect trading prices.

With the official listing completed, all eyes are now on the secondary market performance of Bikash Hydropower shares as investors anticipate how the stock will move within the announced opening range.
