Nepal imported goods worth Rs. 18 trillion 4 billion and 12 crores in the fiscal year 2081/82, according to the Department of Customs. During the same period, the country exported goods worth Rs. 2 trillion 77 billion and 3 crores.

Compared to the previous fiscal year 2080/81, imports increased by 13.25%, while exports saw a significant jump of 81.80%. Last year, Nepal had imported goods worth Rs. 15 trillion 92 billion and 98 crores and exported items worth Rs. 1 trillion 52 billion and 38 crores.

The government also collected Rs. 4 trillion 77 billion 99 million 87 thousand in revenue from imports in the last fiscal year.
