The stock market had a fantastic Tuesday. The main index, NEPSE, shot up by 18.37 points and closed at a high of 2619.

NEPSE was in the green all day long! From the moment the market opened, the index never dropped into negative territory. It closed at the highest point it reached for the entire day.

Winners and Losers

It was a day for the bulls.

  • 187 companies saw their stock prices rise.
  • 61 companies saw their prices fall.
  • 11 companies remained steady.

Total transactions for the day amounted to Rs 3.29 Billion. This is slightly less than the previous day’s turnover of Rs 3.44 Billion.
