The stock market fell again, with the Nepse index dropping below 2,600. On Sunday, the index lost 19.92 points and closed at 2,595. The market remained in the red throughout the day.
Trading volume slightly decreased compared to the previous day. Yesterday, the total turnover was NPR 457 crore, while today it dropped to NPR 452 crore.

Out of all listed companies, 43 saw their prices rise, 207 fell, and 7 stayed the same. The hotel and tourism sector fell the most, losing 1.63%. Other major sectors that declined included life insurance (down 1.52%), development banks (down 1.42%), and finance companies (down 1.38%).
Other sectors that fell were banking (0.47%), hydropower (0.86%), investment (0.62%), manufacturing (0.10%), non-life insurance (0.80%), other sectors (0.42%), and trading (1.01%).
Some companies saw significant gains. SY Panel rose 10%, Tehrathum Power increased 8.20%, Manushi Laghubitta rose 8.14%, and Laxmi Laghubitta gained 5.57%.
On the other hand, Sindhu Development Bank fell 10%, Narayani Development Bank 7.55%, Upper Syange Hydropower 7.45%, and Corporate Development Bank 6.64%.
The most actively traded companies today included Swastik Laghubitta, Barahi Hydropower, Sun Nepal Life Insurance, Lumbini Development Bank, and Nepal Life Insurance.
