Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank has announced a dividend for its shareholders.
The bank’s board meeting, held at 4 pm on Sunday, decided to distribute a total dividend of 15.7895 percent from the profit of the fiscal year 2081/82.
Out of the total, 10 percent will be given as bonus shares and 5.7895 percent will be given as cash dividend, including tax.
The proposed dividend will be provided to shareholders after it is approved by the bank’s 19th annual general meeting and gets permission from Nepal Rastra Bank.
With this decision, Kamana Sewa has become the first development bank to declare a dividend from last year’s profit.
Last year, the bank had distributed a 12 percent dividend, according to chief executive officer Dinesh Thakali.
