Himalayan Hydropower Limited’s much-awaited annual general meeting didn’t go as planned. The event, scheduled for Ashoj 24, was suddenly postponed.
Why was the meeting stopped?
The company could not gather enough shareholders to start the meeting. Without the minimum number of attendees, the meeting couldn’t officially begin forcing the organizers to call it off.
The company had planned to discuss and approve a proposal to issue rights shares during this meeting. This proposal was part of the agenda for its 18th annual general meeting.
Earlier, the board of directors had decided to hold the meeting at the Waterfront Resort in Pokhara at 11 a.m. The decision was made during a board meeting held on Bhadra 30.
Himalayan Hydropower has said it will publish a new notice and organize the meeting again soon. Investors are waiting for the new date to learn more about the company’s rights share plan.
