Gold prices in Nepal have reached a record high, crossing Rs 2.5 lakh per tola. On Thursday, the price of gold increased by Rs 2,000 per tola, pushing it above this milestone for the first time.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, gold is now being traded at Rs 2,50,900 per tola. This is the highest price ever recorded in the local market.
The day before, gold had risen by Rs 400 per tola, reaching Rs 2,48,900. Thursday’s rise was much larger, setting a new record.
Silver prices also went up slightly. They increased by Rs 25 per tola, moving from Rs 3,240 to Rs 3,275.
The rise in gold and silver prices reflects growing demand for precious metals as a safe investment. With prices reaching new highs, many people are watching closely to see how much further they might go.
