Gold prices in Nepal have reached a new historic high. On Tuesday, the price of gold rose sharply to Rs 2,48,500 per tola, as reported by the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.
Just a day ago, gold was trading at Rs 2,40,400 per tola, already a record at that time. The latest increase of over Rs 8,100 per tola shows a strong upward trend in the market.
Experts say rising international prices and high local demand are the main reasons behind this surge. Many investors are choosing gold as a safe asset during uncertain economic times.
Silver prices have also jumped. The price of silver now stands at Rs 3,325 per tola, up by Rs 105 from the previous rate.
Analysts believe both gold and silver may continue to rise if current market conditions persist.
