Global IME Bank Limited and Shangri-la Development Bank Limited have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to provide non-fund based banking services to Shangri-la Development Bank customers.
The MoU was signed by Global IME Bank CEO Surendra Raj Regmi and Shangri-la Development Bank CEO Suyog Shrestha. Under the agreement, Global IME Bank will offer services such as Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, Documents Against Payment, Documents Against Acceptance, and Trade Transaction Banking to Shangri-la customers.
Global IME Bank has been recognized as Nepal’s Best Bank by Global Finance in 2024 and 2025, and by Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2024 in two categories. The bank operates in all 77 districts with 352 branches, 384 ATMs, 155 branchless banking services, 68 extension and revenue collection counters, and 3 international representative offices serving customers from over 1,000 service points. It also facilitates remittance services from countries including the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, India, and Jordan.
Shangri-la Development Bank operates 109 branches and 30 ATMs across Nepal.
