Nepal Rastra Bank has published the new foreign exchange rates for today. According to the official rates, one US dollar now buys at 143.67 rupees and sells at 144.27 rupees.
The bank has also updated the rates for other major currencies. One European euro has a buying rate of 167.73 rupees and a selling rate of 168.44 rupees. For the UK pound sterling, the buying rate is 191.89 rupees and the selling rate is 192.69 rupees. The Swiss franc is set at 179.61 rupees for buying and 180.36 rupees for selling.
The Australian dollar’s buying rate is 94.97 rupees and the selling rate is 95.37 rupees. One Canadian dollar buys at 102.86 rupees and sells at 103.29 rupees. The Singapore dollar has a buying rate of 110.95 rupees and a selling rate of 111.42 rupees.
For Asian currencies, 10 Japanese yen buy at 9.29 rupees and sell at 9.33 rupees. One Chinese yuan buys at 20.32 rupees and sells at 20.40 rupees. The Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of 38.28 rupees and a selling rate of 38.44 rupees, while the Qatari riyal buys at 39.43 rupees and sells at 39.59 rupees.
According to the central bank, one Thai baht buys at 4.49 rupees and sells at 4.51 rupees. The UAE dirham’s buying rate is 39.12 rupees and the selling rate is 39.28 rupees. One Malaysian ringgit buys at 34.94 rupees and sells at 35.09 rupees. For South Korea, 100 won buy at 9.77 rupees and sell at 9.81 rupees. The Swedish krona has a buying rate of 15.31 rupees and a selling rate of 15.38 rupees, while the Danish krone buys at 22.46 rupees and sells at 22.55 rupees.
The Hong Kong dollar has a buying rate of 18.46 rupees and a selling rate of 18.53 rupees. One Kuwaiti dinar buys at 468.42 rupees and sells at 470.38 rupees. The Bahrain dinar buys at 381.09 rupees and sells at 382.68 rupees. The Omani riyal’s buying rate is 373.16 rupees and the selling rate is 374.72 rupees.
For Indian currency, 100 Indian rupees buy at 160 rupees and sell at 160.15 rupees.
The central bank has stated that these rates may change at any time if needed. It also said that commercial banks may use slightly different rates, and the latest updates can always be found on Nepal Rastra Bank’s official website.
