Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City has released its policy, program, and budget for the fiscal year 2082/83. In the 17th municipal assembly today, Deputy Mayor Indra Bikram Begha presented a budget of 2.20 billion rupees for the year.

Where is the money coming from?

The budget will be funded from multiple sources:

For local development, 210 million rupees have been allocated to all 20 wards of Dharan.

The municipal executive will manage unconditional allocations of 1.319 billion rupees, conditional grants of 605.677 million rupees, supplementary budgets of 18.2 million rupees, and special grants of 54.3 million rupees.

Deputy Mayor Begha said the budget prioritizes education, health, infrastructure, agriculture, social development, and disaster management.
