Sun Nepal Life Insurance brings 2.24 lakh unsold rights shares into auction

Sun Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited has announced the auction of 224,728 units of unsold rights shares starting from Ashad 23 to Ashad 30, 2081. These shares are being sold at a minimum price of Rs. 100 per share, giving investors a fresh opportunity to invest in the growing life insurance sector in Nepal.

Auction includes promoter and public group shares

According to the company, the rights shares include:

  • 80,222 promoter shares, open only to existing promoter shareholders, and
  • 144,506 public group shares, open to all general investors.

This public auction comes after the shares were left unsubscribed during the earlier rights offering.

How many shares can investors apply for?

Investors must apply for at least:

  • 1,000 shares in the promoter category
  • 100 shares in the general category

There is no maximum limit as long as the shares are applied for in multiples of 10 or within the available quantity.

Where to get and submit auction forms?

Interested applicants can collect and submit the auction forms at the following locations:

  • Nepal SBI Merchant Banking Limited, Thamel, Kathmandu
  • Sun Nepal Life head office, Putalisadak
  • Branches in Biratnagar, Birgunj, Pokhara, Butwal, Nepalgunj, Surkhet, and Dhangadhi
