Bandipur Cable Car and Tourism Ltd (BCTL) had opened its initial public offering (IPO) for the general public on Bhadra 11, 2082, which officially closed today, Bhadra 15, 2082. The IPO, managed by Nepal SBI Merchant Banking Limited, attracted significant interest from investors.

The company had issued 4,341,080 units, but investors applied for 2,98,69,440 units, showing high demand. This means the IPO was oversubscribed 6.88 times on the very first day. A total of more than 25,12,122 applicants had applied for shares, reflecting strong confidence in Nepal’s tourism and cable car sector.

After allotment, some investors will not receive their full applications. Out of the total applications, approximately 21,46,609 applicants will remain unallotted due to oversubscription, leaving many investors partially or fully empty-handed.
