Shark Tank Nepal Season 1 continues to bring innovative entrepreneurs face-to-face with top investors. Episode 15 showcased four promising startups from diverse industries, each aiming to secure funding and mentorship to scale their businesses. While some founders succeeded in impressing the Sharks, others left the tank without a deal.

Startup who got deal

Founded by Krishna Pandey, Dursikshya Education Network, leading training institute for students. Training for IT skills can be an ongoing process, as technological advancements continue and improvements are made. The founder sought 1 crore for 20% equity. Shark Ritu was impressed with the vision and decided to invest 1 crore in exchange for 30% equity. This deal marked the highlight of the episode as it set a strong example for education-focused startups in Nepal.

Startup didn’t got deal

Rajesh Agrovet & Forestry, Co-founded by Rajesh Bishowkarma and Mangala Kami, located in Jumla, Nepal. It is involved in fruit processing and production, specifically of apples and related seedlings like walnut, peach, pear, and plum. The founders requested 50 lakhs for 15% equity and an additional 50 lakhs for 4% debt. Despite the potential in the agro-processing sector, the Sharks did not make an investment, and no deal was finalized.

Reverse Vending Machine Nepal, CEO Joseph Shrestha and CTO Anupam Bhattarai pitched their venture focused on agri-mechanization and energy-efficient solutions. They asked for 1.5 crore for 20% equity. Although the idea of integrating technology with agriculture drew interest, the Sharks decided not to invest, leaving the founders without a deal.

Himalayan Lush Industry, eco-friendly venture, co-founded by Shyam Bahadur Basent, Ashok Man Kapali, and Ashistitwo Kapali, specializes in Areca leaf products. They sought 1 crore for 16% equity. While the product line impressed the Sharks with its sustainability aspect, the founders did not secure an investment during this episode.

Episode 15 of Shark Tank Nepal highlighted the diversity and innovation in the Nepali startup ecosystem. While Dursikshya Education Network successfully secured investment, other startups like Rajesh Agrovet, Reverse Vending Machine Nepal, and Himalayan Lush Industry left the tank with valuable feedback and lessons to refine their pitches. As the season progresses, these entrepreneurs continue to shape the landscape of Nepali innovation and investment.
