The share market, NEPSE closed lower on Thursday, the last trading day of the week. The Nepse index fell by 10.66 points and settled at 2,615 points. A day earlier, the index had closed at 2,625 points.
The market stayed in negative territory throughout the day. Even so, trading activity increased. Total turnover reached Rs 4.57 billion, compared to Rs 4.05 billion on the previous day. Share prices of 63 companies increased, while 194 companies saw a decline. Prices of two companies remained unchanged.

The finance group recorded the biggest loss, falling by 1.55%. The hotel and tourism group ended the day unchanged. Non-life insurance rose by 0.22% and the trading group increased by 0.48%. Other sectors also closed lower. Banking fell by 0.22%, development banks by 0.12%, hydropower by 0.55%, investment by 0.41%, life insurance by 0.67%, manufacturing and processing by 0.17%, microfinance by 0.49%, and the others group dropped by 1.19%.
Shares of two companies rose by the daily limit of 10%. These companies were Swastik Laghubitta and SY Panel. Sindhu Development Bank gained 9.56%. CYC Laghubitta rose by 4.87%, while Saptakoshi Development Bank increased by 4.44%.
Barahi Hydropower recorded the highest fall of the day, with its price dropping by 4.76%. Guheshwori Merchant Finance declined by 3.13%. Modi Energy fell by 3.02%.
Barahi Hydropower, Radhi Bidyut, Butwal Power, Ngadi Group, and Saptakoshi Development Bank were among the most traded companies during the day.
