The stock market fell on Thursday, with the Nepse index dropping 18.40 points to close at 2,487. This is the lowest level since last year, as the market has been declining for several days.

Which sectors gained and which lost?
Out of all listed companies, 45 saw their prices rise, 197 fell, and 9 remained unchanged. Banking was the only sector to show a slight gain of 0.02 percent. Other sectors recorded declines:

Himalayan Power Partner led the gains with a jump of 9.93%. Other notable increases included Kalika Laghubitta (+5.69%), Infinity Laghubitta (+3.89%), and Sagarmatha Lumbini General Insurance (+3.79%).
On the other hand, some companies saw sharp declines. Samaj Laghubitta dropped 10%, Unique Nepal Laghubitta -7.33%, Samata Gharelu Laghubitta -6.25%, Upper Syangja -4.87%, and Nepal Reinsurance -4.21%.
Most traded companies
The most actively traded companies were Muktinath Bikas Bank, Nepal Reinsurance, Shivam Cement, NRN Infrastructure, and Himalayan Reinsurance.
Trading value slightly increased to 3.27 billion rupees, up from 3.10 billion the previous day, showing some activity despite the overall decline.
