The Nepal stock market will remain closed today. NEPSE announced that trading will be suspended on Bhadra 24.
The closure comes after the Kathmandu District Administration Office issued a curfew starting from 8:30 am today. The curfew covers the area inside the Ring Road.
The government, through the Ministry of Home Affairs and the district office, has implemented this curfew. Many market members and investors also requested NEPSE to halt trading for safety reasons.
As a result, all trading in listed securities will be stopped for the day. NEPSE confirmed that this decision follows Rule 21 of the Securities Listing and Trading Regulations, 2075. Investors and traders should stay updated and plan their activities, as trading will resume only after the curfew is lifted and NEPSE announces the reopening.
