Nepal’s fund for rebuilding damaged infrastructure is growing steadily as more companies step forward with financial support. Life Insurance Corporation Nepal added a major amount to the government’s reconstruction fund on Sunday. The company deposited rs 1 crore 1 lakh. Chief executive Pranay Kumar personally handed the voucher to finance minister Rameshwar Prasad Khanal. Recently, companies under the F1 Soft Group also made a joint contribution. Employees of F1 Soft International, e-sewa and Fonepay, along with the group itself, provided a collective cheque of rs 75 lakh. Chairman Siddhant Thakuri had handed over the cheque to the finance minister on Mangsir 3. Finance minister Khanal thanked both organisations for their support. According to the ministry’s spokesperson, Tanka Prasad Pandey, the total amount collected in the fund has reached rs 9 crore 30 lakh as of Sunday. The reconstruction fund was created by the government to help restore physical infrastructure across the country. With more institutions joining in, the fund is expected to play a bigger role in long-term rebuilding projects.
