Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries Ltd. owned by Mukesh Ambani, has partnered with Nepal’s largest conglomerate, Chaudhary Group (CG), owned by Binod Chaudhary, to bring the iconic Indian beverage brand Campa Cola to the Nepali market. This marks RCPL’s first entry into Nepal and reflects a strong long-term commitment to the region.

What is Campa Cola?

Campa is a heritage brand that RCPL acquired in 2022 and relaunched in India in 2023. Since then, Campa has quickly regained popularity in the competitive soft drink market. Known widely as a sponsor of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Campa aims to leverage CG’s extensive distribution network and local market knowledge to establish a strong presence in Nepal.

Ketan Mody, Executive Director of RCPL, said,

“We are thrilled to enter Nepal with Campa, a brand that holds multi-generational appeal. With Chaudhary Group as our partner, we aim to deliver innovative, high-quality beverages at affordable prices, transforming the consumer experience in Nepal.”

Nirvana Chaudhary, Managing Director of Chaudhary Group, added,

“This partnership aligns with our goal of offering diverse, heritage-rooted beverages to Nepali consumers. We are confident Campa will resonate strongly here, just as it has in India.”

What Products Will Be Available?

The initial lineup in Nepal includes:

  • Campa Cola
  • Campa Lemon
  • Campa Orange
  • Two energy drink variants: Campa Energy Gold Boost and Berry Kick

These will be sold in 250 ml bottles priced competitively at Rs. 30 for carbonated drinks and Rs. 40 for energy drinks, making them affordable options for Nepali consumers.

New Factory in Biratnagar: Boosting Local Production and Jobs

The beverages will be produced locally at a new Campa Cola factory in Biratnagar, one of Nepal’s major industrial hubs in Province 1. This local production is expected to:

  • Lower costs and prices for consumers
  • Support Nepal’s growing beverage market demand
  • Create new job opportunities in the region
  • Strengthen Nepal’s manufacturing and supply chain capacity
