Buddha air is bringing back its kathmandu to kolkata flights after six years. The airline will start the direct flights from November 15, which falls on Kartik 29. Flights will operate four days a week on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Earlier, the plan was to fly only three days a week, but the number of interested passengers encouraged the airline to add one more day.
The airline had first started flights on this route in 2019, but it stopped after six months because of low passenger numbers. At that time, the main goal was to attract tourists, but the expected demand never came.
This time, buddha air will use its atr 72 aircraft, which has 72 seats. The flight will take about one and a half hours to reach kolkata from kathmandu.
Ticket prices start from rs. 14,500 and can go up to rs. 31,200 depending on the booking date and seat availability.
Many expect that this renewed service will help connect nepal and india better for both tourism and business.
