Bizbell Limited has officially signed an agreement with Prabhu Capital to manage its upcoming Initial Public Offering (IPO), as the company moves forward with two significant hydropower developments in Nepal.
The company is currently working on two major projects:
- The Upper Chuwa-Luruppa Semi-Reservoir Hydro Project with a capacity of 110.20 MW, and
- The Chuwa Khola Cascade Hydro Project with a capacity of 98.17 MW.
These two projects have placed Bizbell Limited among the growing list of private sector developers playing an active role in Nepal’s hydropower expansion.
IPO preparation begins
With the agreement signed, Prabhu Capital will now lead the process of issuing shares to the public. The IPO will help Bizbell raise funds to support the construction and operation of its hydropower projects. While the date for the IPO hasn’t been officially announced, today’s signing marks a key step forward.
The entry of Bizbell into the capital market will offer a new investment option in the hydropower sector, which remains a popular category among Nepali investors. However, as with any early-stage hydro developer, potential investors are expected to closely watch project progress, licensing, and construction timelines.
More details about the IPO, including share quantity and pricing, are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
