Durga Prasai new political party registered with Madhav Kalpit as president

Durga Prasai has officially registered a new political party with the Election Commission. Madhav Prasad Khatri, also known as Madhav Kalpit, has been made the party president. Kalpit has previously worked as Prasai’s personal secretary.

Kalpit completed all the registration formalities with himself as president and informed the public about it. However, he clarified that the real leader of the party is Durga Prasai. On Sunday morning, Kalpit and other party members submitted their documents to the Election Commission.

Prasai’s campaign group, which announced a nationwide movement starting from Mangsir 7, has already been called by the government for talks. According to Kalpit, the party, under the banner of “Citizen Protection Campaign,” plans to push forward both its 27-point demands and preparations for upcoming elections.
