Vision Energy & Power Ltd (VEPL) has formally submitted its IPO proposal to the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), aiming to raise NPR 830 million from the public. VEPL plans to offer 8.3 million ordinary shares, each with a face value of NPR 100, marking a major step in Nepal’s energy investment landscape.

Under the slogan “Energy for the Prosperity of the Nation”, VEPL draws together seasoned professionals, investors, and industry experts. With strong commitments to corporate governance, transparency, and innovation, the company presents itself as a reliable and strategic partner for Nepali investors.

VEPL has appointed NIBL Ace Capital as its issue manager to ensure a smooth IPO execution. The firm will handle the public offering process and regulatory compliance in collaboration with the company.

At the heart of VEPL’s energy portfolio is the Nupche Likhu Hydropower Project, a run-of-river development in Umakunda Rural Municipality, Ramechhap (Bagmati Province), with installed capacity of 57.5 MW. The project harnesses the waters of Nupche Khola and Likhu Khola, boasts a remarkable gross head of 1,002 meters (one of the top-20 in the world for head height), and handles a design discharge of 7.11 m³/sec.

VEPL has secured its Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), reached financial closure, completed the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), and received its generation license. It is committed to delivering the project by its expected commercial operation date of 16 August 2025. The total project cost is estimated at NPR 10.578 billion, financed with a 75:25 debt-to-equity ratio.

This IPO framework puts Vision Energy & Power at the center of Nepal’s energy transformation, offering investors a streamlined opportunity to support national energy infrastructure and sustainable growth. VEPL’s diversified energy strategy spanning hydropower, wind, solar, and biogas positions the firm as a forward‑looking champion in Nepal’s renewable energy future.
