Nepal welcomed a total of 128,443 foreign visitors in October, marking one of the busiest travel months of the year. According to the Nepal Tourism Board, the number of tourist arrivals has shown a strong rise compared to previous months.
Among all countries, India sent the highest number of visitors 17,298 in October alone. The United States followed with 13,286 visitors, while the United Kingdom came next with 8,718.
From Asia (excluding South Asia), 23,127 travelers arrived, while 29,060 came from South Asia. Europe contributed 40,500 visitors, America 16,407, Oceania 6,814, the Middle East 3,548, Africa 443, and other regions 8,444.
Other leading countries included China (6,755 visitors), Germany (6,366), Australia (6,177), Sri Lanka (5,535), France (5,045), Bangladesh (4,641), and Myanmar (3,038).
From January to October 2025, Nepal has received a total of 943,716 tourists. October is traditionally one of Nepal’s peak tourist seasons, with pleasant weather and major festivals drawing both domestic and international travelers.
