The NEPSE Index closed lower on September 3 at 2,726.33 points, down by 15.64 points (0.57%). Out of all listed companies, 39 stocks gained while 213 declined, showing broad market weakness.
Despite the drop, market activity was strong. The day’s turnover reached Rs. 4.72 billion, up 6.53% from the previous session. A total of 11.34 million shares were traded in about 68,500 transactions.
- NEPSE Index: Opened at 2,744.40, hit a high of 2,749.88, a low of 2,724.99, and closed at 2,726.33.
- Sensitive Index: Down 2.74 points (0.57%) to 470.94 with Rs. 1.78 billion turnover.
- Float Index: Fell 1.16 points (0.62%) to 186.69.
- Sensitive Float Index: Dropped 0.95 points (0.58%) to 161.09.
Although prices declined, the rise in turnover shows that investor participation in the market remained active.
