Nepse employees staged a protest inside their office building on sunday. They have been protesting since Ashoj 7, demanding their pending bonus. Before tihar, the employees had also worn black armbands to show their dissatisfaction.
The protest started after the Labour Court ordered NEPSE management to give 5% of the company’s annual profit as a bonus to its staff. However, the employees say the management ignored the order and failed to follow through.

According to Navaraj Thapa, President of the NEPSE Employees’ Union, instead of implementing the court’s order, the management filed a petition at the Supreme Court to delay the issue. Despite the ongoing dispute, the employees said they will not stop regular office work.
Reports confirm that the management submitted the petition to the Supreme Court on Ashoj 28.
