Nepal’s capital market is rapidly going digital. According to CDSC, there are now 7,123,715 demat accounts in the country.

Out of these, 62,00,830 people are using the “Mero Share” service. Among them, 43,92,347 are actively using it.

CDSC also reports that 1,477,986,427 shares have already been dematerialized in the market. A total of 1,507,309,139 shares are listed.

These days, most share trading happens online. Applications for ordinary shares and trading in the secondary market can be done online. Cash is no longer needed for payments.

This convenience is helping more people open demat accounts and use the “Mero Share” service. Online trading is also making the market more transparent and easy for everyone.
