Nepal Rastra Bank has begun the process of finding a rental house for its governor, Prof. Dr. Bishwanath Poudel. The move comes after his personal homes were destroyed during the recent Gen Z movement.
Governor Poudel had two houses, one in Chitwan and another in Bhaisepati, Lalitpur. Both were set on fire during the protests, leaving him without a permanent residence in the capital. To address this, the central bank has now invited house owners to submit rental proposals.
According to the notice, the bank is looking for a house in Lalitpur, specifically between the areas of Bakhundol and Bhaisepati. The house should be built on land between 16 to 24 aana and must include parking space for at least six cars or jeeps.
The house must be an RCC structure with a plinth area of at least 1,000 square feet. It should have one master bedroom, at least four additional bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, dining room, and a storeroom.
There should also be a separate building for security personnel. The compound must be safe, surrounded by a boundary wall, and directly connected to a blacktopped road. Basic infrastructure such as electricity, drainage, and drinking water should also be available.
The Rastra Bank has announced that interested owners can submit their rental proposals by Ashoj 27.
