Nepal Rastra Bank has decided to place a big part of its grant and pension fund into the banking system. The total amount set aside for this plan is 3.76 billion rupees.

Invitation for applications

The central bank has called on banks and financial institutions to apply for this investment by 7:00 pm on Mangsir 8.
The notice clearly mentions how much money the bank wants to invest and the interest rate expected from the institutions that wish to take part.

One-year investment plan

Only banks and financial institutions that meet certain requirements can apply. They must have completed at least two years of operation, meet the minimum capital requirement set by the central bank, and maintain low levels of non-performing loans.
The notice says their total non-performing loans must be below eight percent and net non-performing loans must not go above three percent.
