Gold prices fell again on Monday. According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders’ Association, the price of gold dropped by Rs. 2,000 per tola. This brings the trading price for the day to Rs. 2,39,900 per tola.
On Sunday, gold was priced at Rs. 2,41,900 per tola in the Nepali market.
Silver prices also fell alongside gold. Silver, which was Rs. 3,015 per tola on Sunday, went down to Rs. 2,980 on Monday.
The drop in local gold and silver prices follows a decline in international gold rates, which is affecting the Nepali market.
Experts say that although gold and silver prices have dropped in the short term, they are expected to rise in the long run.
