The prices of gold and silver have been swinging sharply in the international market over the last six hours.
Gold, which fell sharply over the past 24 hours to its lowest in 13 years, briefly rose by about 1 percent in the last six hours but started dropping again. The price per troy ounce (around 31.10 grams) fell to $4,062 but later recovered slightly to $4,076. Earlier, gold had reached a high of $4,160 in this short period.
Silver also showed fluctuations. Its price dropped to $48 per ounce but climbed back to $48.59. The highest it reached during these six hours was $49.30.
Investors are watching the metals closely as rapid changes continue, making the market unpredictable in the short term.
