Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan has become a billionaire for the first time. According to the Hurun India Rich List 2025, the 59-year-old actor has a total net worth of 1.4 billion dollars. This list is released annually to rank the richest people in India.
Khan’s wealth comes not only from his acting career but also from his business ventures. He owns the production company Red Chillies Entertainment and the IPL cricket team Knight Riders. He also earns from films, brand endorsements, and investments in real estate around the world.
His new billionaire status places him alongside global celebrities such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, singer Rihanna, golfer Tiger Woods, and singer Taylor Swift, whose net worth is around 1.6 billion dollars according to Forbes.
Other Bollywood stars on the Hurun India Rich List include actress Juhi Chawla, actors Hrithik Roshan and Amitabh Bachchan, and filmmaker Karan Johar. Among them, Khan’s wealth is the highest. Juhi Chawla and her family have a net worth of 88 million dollars, Hrithik Roshan has 26 million dollars, Karan Johar has 20 million dollars, and Amitabh Bachchan and his family have 18.3 million dollars.

Entertainment, sports, and IT-related businesses are becoming important sources of wealth, alongside traditional sectors such as manufacturing, IT, and banking. He compared this trend to the United States, where wealthy lists once focused on industrialists and bankers but now include sports team owners, media personalities, and global celebrities.
India now has more than 350 billionaires. This year, Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani are at the top of the list. While a few other Bollywood stars and their families also appear on the Hurun list, Shahrukh Khan’s net worth remains the highest among them.
