The Nepali share market has been closed for several days due to ongoing political unrest and the Gen Z movement. Investors and market participants have been waiting for updates on when trading will resume.
When will NEPSE reopen?
Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) has now announced that the share market will remain closed until Ashoj 2. In a public notice, Nepse said the decision was made under the Securities Act 2063, section 90 (1) gha, with approval from the Securities Board.

The market has been closed since Bhadra 24, when the Gen Z movement led to a complete halt in trading. Many investors have also demanded that trading should not restart until the political situation in the country becomes stable.
