Stock market Nepse index saw a slight drop on Thursday. Compared to the previous day, Nepse fell by just 0.93 points.
With this small decline, Nepse closed at 2560 points. Even though the index fell, the total trading amount increased. On the previous trading day, the market recorded transactions worth 3.77 billion rupees, while today it rose to 4.68 billion rupees. Market movement remained normal throughout the day.

Prices of 112 companies went up, 138 fell, and 6 remained unchanged. The hotels and tourism group was the highest gainer, increasing by 1.16 percent.
Earlier, it was expected that the Gen Z movement would heavily affect the hotel and tourism sector. Based on that belief, the share prices of most companies in this sector had dropped sharply.
However, as the tourism season has begun, most companies are no longer seeing the negative impact. This has made investors more attracted to this sector.
Similarly, the hydropower sector rose by 0.09 percent, manufacturing and processing increased by 0.32 percent, microfinance by 0.27 percent, others by 0.30 percent, and the trading group by 0.17 percent.
Banking fell by 0.34 percent, development banks by 0.08 percent, investment by 0.52 percent, life insurance by 0.06 percent, and non-life insurance by 0.33 percent. Four companies gained 10 percent today. These companies include Dhaulagiri Laghubitta, Bandipur Cablecar, Jhapa Energy, and Sagarmatha Distillery. Except for Dhaulagiri, all others were listed only recently.
Sindhu Development Bank gained 9.60 percent, Saptakoshi Development Bank rose by 7.71 percent, and Chirkhwa Hydropower increased by 6.80 percent.
Bungad Hydropower saw the biggest fall of the day with a drop of 9.05 percent. Daramkhola Hydropower fell by 4.91 percent and Vikas Hydropower decreased by 3.79 percent.
Companies with the highest trading volumes today were Sahas Urja, Saptakoshi Development Bank, Nepal Reinsurance, Union Hydropower, and Barun Hydropower.
