Sahas Urja Company Limited has earned a net profit of Rs 49.48 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal year. This is 23.65% higher than the same period last year, when the company had a net profit of Rs 40.02 crore.
The company’s revenue from electricity sales also rose by 6.63%, reaching Rs 92.46 crore. During the same period, the company earned Rs 6.91 lakh from financial income.
Administrative expenses went up from Rs 1.83 crore to Rs 2.31 crore, while financial costs dropped from Rs 23.40 crore to Rs 16.79 crore. The company also spent Rs 1.02 crore on staff bonuses, compared to Rs 82.35 lakh last year.
Sahas Urja’s reserves and retained earnings now stand at Rs 365 crore, up from Rs 296 crore in the previous fiscal year. The company has a paid-up capital of Rs 378 crore, total current assets of Rs 110 crore, and total current liabilities of Rs 161 crore.
By the end of the review period, the company reported earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 52.37, net worth per share of Rs 196.89, total asset value per share of Rs 475.84, and a liquidity ratio of 0.68.
