Nepal stock market, Nepse saw a small gain on the last trading day of the week, with the NEPSE index rising by 1.13 points. After this increase, the index stood at 2,545 points. Earlier in the day, at 12:31 pm, the index hit a low of 2,530 points, while the highest point of the day was 2,559 points at 2:06 pm.

Even though the overall market gain was small, six companies saw their share prices jump by 10 percent. These include Mabilung Energy, Swetganga Hydropower, Sagar Distillery, Bunglal Hydropower, Bandipur Cable Car, and Ruru Hydropower Project.
Out of all traded companies, 123 saw their prices go up, 124 saw their prices fall, and 8 remained unchanged. Along with the index, the total trading amount dropped compared to the previous day. Yesterday, trades worth NPR 384 crore were recorded, while today the total was NPR 349 crore.
Sector-wise, mixed trends were seen. Banking rose by 0.12%, finance by 0.09%, hotel and tourism by 0.72%, hydropower by 0.22%, and trading by 0.79%. On the other hand, other sectors dropped slightly: non-life insurance fell by 0.46%, production and processing by 0.29%, life insurance by 0.23%, investment by 0.07%, and development banks by 0.08%.
Some notable companies had significant movements. Darimkhola Hydro Energy went up 6.88%, Bhugol Energy rose 4.99%, and Dolti Power increased 4.20%. Nepal Microinsurance saw the biggest fall at 4.82%. Eastern Hydropower dropped 3.70%, Best Finance fell 3.18%, and Super Madi declined 2.50%.
The most actively traded companies today were Himalayan Power Partner, Himalayan Distillery, Union Hydropower, NRN Infrastructure, and Sahas Energy.
