Nepal Insurance Company Limited has launched its Nepal Insurance rights share offering, marking a significant step in boosting its financial strength and regulatory compliance. Starting Shrawan 6, 2082, the Nepal Insurance rights share offering invites existing shareholders to buy 3.4783 new shares for every 10 they already own an increase of 34.78% in holdings.

Under this Nepal Insurance rights share offering, a total of 6,576,967.76 new shares, each with a face value of NPR 100, will be issued raising approximately NPR 657.7 million. To qualify, shareholders must have held shares as of Jestha 29 (one day before the book closure on Jestha 30).

The application window for the Nepal Insurance rights share offering runs from Shrawan 6 to Shrawan 26 (roughly July 22 to August 11). Shareholders can apply via the CDSC’s MeroShare platform, ASBA-enabled banks and financial institutions, or through NIMB Ace Capital offices in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Butwal, Birgunj, and Biratnagar.

Currently, Nepal Insurance’s paid-up capital stands at NPR 1.89 billion. Once the Nepal Insurance rights share offering concludes, the paid-up capital will climb to NPR 2.54 billion surpassing the NPR 2.5 billion minimum required by the Nepal Insurance Authority for non-life insurers.

This bold Nepal Insurance rights share offering not only secures regulatory compliance but also expands underwriting capacity, fortifies financial resilience, and reinforces the company’s market position. For existing investors, this is a timely opportunity to increase their stake in a legacy insurer poised for future growth.
