Mountain Energy Nepal Limited is offering shareholders a chance to get a bonus share and a small cash dividend. But there is a deadline to claim it.
The company has set Mangsir 16 as the last day for shareholders to secure the dividend. Only those who are registered as shareholders by this date will be eligible to receive the bonus and cash payout. The company will close its books on Mangsir 17 for dividend distribution and the annual general meeting.
In a meeting on Thursday, the company’s board decided to distribute a total dividend of 21.0526% of the current paid-up capital. This includes a 20% bonus share and 1.0526% cash dividend for tax purposes.
The company has scheduled its annual general meeting for Mangsir 29 to approve the proposed dividend. The process will continue once the Electricity Regulatory Commission gives its approval.
