Indian rupee notes of denominations above INR 100 can now be used in Nepal. The decision was approved by the Cabinet on Monday.

This comes after India allowed people to bring Indian currency notes above INR 100, worth up to INR 25,000, into Nepal and Bhutan. Following India’s move, Nepal has also allowed these notes to be used for transactions inside the country.
