Two energy companies, Habitat Power Company and Orbit Energy Limited, have announced plans to issue Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) to the general public. To move forward with their IPOs, both companies have called their Annual General Meetings (AGMs). These meetings will officially decide whether or not to go ahead with the public offering of shares.
The meetings will be held on Bhadra 13 at their office in Hadigaun, Kathmandu.
- Habitat Power’s meeting is set for 9 AM
- Orbit Energy’s meeting will take place at 3 PM
During the meetings, shareholders will look at last year’s performance and financial reports. They’ll review how much profit or loss the companies made, any changes in share capital, and how money flowed in and out of the business.
They will also choose new auditors for the current year.
Besides the financial discussion, both companies will present a special plan to issue IPOs. If approved, they’ll make changes to their official company documents as required by regulators and give the board the power to handle everything needed for the IPO.
The meetings will also talk about pay and benefits for board members.
To attend and vote at the AGM, shareholders must be listed in the company record before Bhadra 6, which is the official book closure date.
