Diesel price drops by Rs 4 per liter in Nepal: what’s the new rate near you?

Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has reduced the price of diesel and kerosene by Rs 4 per liter, effective from Bhadra 16, 2082. The decision follows the updated purchase rates received from Indian Oil Corporation on Bhadra 15.

With this revision, the new retail prices within 15 km from NOC depots and offices are:

  • First category areas: Rs 142.50 per liter
  • Second category areas: Rs 144.00 per liter
  • Third category areas: Rs 145.00 per liter

This is a notable drop compared to the previous prices of Rs 146.50, Rs 148.00, and Rs 149.00 per liter in the respective categories.While diesel and kerosene have become cheaper, the prices of petrol and LPG gas remain unchanged.The categories are divided as follows:

  • First category: Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhganj, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, Birgunj
  • Second category: Surkhet, Dang
  • Third category: Kathmandu, Pokhara, Dipayal
