Popular singer and actor Prakash Saput is now entering the fashion business. Known for his hit songs, Saput is launching a new fashion brand named “Galbandi,” inspired by one of his popular songs. He is preparing to bring various fashion items to the market under this brand.
According to Saput, the brand will start by offering jeans, check shirts, t-shirts, jackets, hoodies, box pants, tracksuits, and other clothes used in sports. “As an artist or celebrity, I chose fashion as a field where I can contribute,” Saput said. “I want to expand my investment into production by turning my famous song into a brand.”
Saput also added that products will be affordable for middle-class families. Although most raw materials will be imported, the clothes will be made and finished in Nepal as much as possible. The plan is to launch them in the market before the upcoming Dashain festival.
He added that the goal is to reduce dependency on foreign brands and create high-quality Nepali products that meet international standards.

Galbandi outlets Opening Date
Saput aims to open two to three outlets in Kathmandu and Baglung by Dashain. He also plans to expand outlets to other cities based on demand and sell products online.
He said that efforts are being made to make Galbandi products available to Nepalis living abroad as well.
Garment industry in Nepal
In the near future, Saput plans to start a garment factory in Nepal. He wants to establish Galbandi as a unique Nepali brand.
“I believe the country needs more than just complaints. Young people should try new things,” he said. “Galbandi is the beginning of that effort.”
His goal is to promote Nepali identity in the fashion industry through Galbandi and offer high-quality products at affordable prices that appeal to everyone.
