The NEPSE Index closed lower on September 4, ending the day at 2,719.77 points, down by 6.55 points or 0.24%. The market saw more selling pressure, with 165 stocks declining, while 85 gained and 1 remained unchanged.
Total turnover reached Rs. 5.14 billion, an increase of 8.8% from the previous session. A total of 12.7 million shares were traded in nearly 69,000 transactions, slightly higher by 0.63%.
The Sensitive Index fell by 1.11 points to 469.83, the Float Index slipped by 0.47 points to 186.22, and the Sensitive Float Index dropped by 0.26 points to 160.83.
Although the NEPSE Index fell, higher turnover indicates steady investor activity in the market.
