Nabil Bank CEO Manoj Gyawali has revealed that he was asked for money in exchange for being appointed as the CEO of the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE). Speaking about the issue, Gyawali said he refused to give a bribe but instead offered to contribute Rs. 50 lakh as a donation. Despite this, he was not appointed as NEPSE’s CEO.

This statement has raised serious concerns about irregularities and transparency in high-level appointments within Nepal’s financial sector.
