Daram Khola Hydro Energy IPO for foreign-employed Nepalis has drawn an impressive response, with total applications crossing Rs 12.37 crore by 10:06 AM on Ashadh 20. As per CDS and Clearing Ltd, a total of 61,894 applicants applied for 12,37,330 shares, making the offering oversubscribed by 4.23 times.

The IPO, which opened on Ashadh 9, allocated 2,91,150 shares specifically for Nepalis working abroad. Applicants were allowed to apply for a minimum of 10 shares and up to 50,000 shares, with the deadline to apply set for Ashadh 23.

Foreign-employed Nepalis could submit their applications through C-ASBA-approved banks and financial institutions, or via Meroshare. The IPO’s issue manager is Laxmi Sunrise Capital.

The strong demand for the Daramkhola Hydro Energy IPO for foreign-employed Nepalis reflects increasing interest from the diaspora in Nepal’s hydropower sector, as well as their desire to contribute to and benefit from national development projects.
