The stock market has a new addition. Chhyangdi Hydropower Limited has officially listed over 3.86 million rights shares on the Nepal Stock Exchange.
These rights shares will first be transferred to the DEMAT accounts of eligible shareholders. Once they appear there, investors can freely buy and sell them in the secondary market.
For shareholders, this means their investment is about to become liquid. For the market, it adds more trading opportunities and potentially more activity in the hydropower sector.
