The Nepal stock market has been closed for several days due to the recent Gen Z movement. The protests created uncertainty, and trading was paused to protect investors and maintain market stability.

When will trading resume?

Now, the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has decided to reopen the market. The decision came after the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) requested permission to resume trading from Ashoj 1. Since Ashoj 1 is a public holiday, the market will officially reopen on Ashoj 2. Trading will follow the usual full-time schedule, as NEPSE decided not to implement partial trading or change circuit breaker rules.

Investors can now plan their trades as the market returns to normal operations under SEBON’s guidance.
