Bandipur Cable Car & Tourism Company Limited has officially launched the first phase of its Initial Public Offering (IPO) starting today, Shrawan 6. The company aims to issue 5.86 million shares at a face value of Rs. 100 each, following approval from the Securities Board of Nepal on Ashar 19.

Who can apply?

This first round of IPO is exclusively for people affected by the project and Nepali citizens currently working abroad. Out of the total issued shares:

  • 566,000 shares are set aside for locals impacted by the project
  • 529,400 shares are allocated for Nepalis in foreign employment

Eligible applicants include residents from:

  • All wards of Bandipur and Aanbukhaireni rural municipalities in Tanahun
  • Ward 1 of Bhanu municipality
  • Ward 7 of Palungtar municipality in Gorkha

Application details:

Applicants can apply for a minimum of 10 shares and up to 20,000 shares.

  • Nepalis abroad must apply by Shrawan 9
  • Locals from project areas can apply until Shrawan 20
  • The deadline may be extended if needed

Credit rating and IPO manager

The company has received a ‘CARE NP BB’ rating from CARE Ratings Nepal, suggesting a moderate risk.
Nepal SBI Merchant Banking Limited is managing the share issuance.

In the second phase, the IPO will be opened to the general public, giving more investors the chance to be part of this tourism-driven project.
